About Neil Stevens and Care Protect and Prosper
For nearly 10 years Neil has been involved in advising families who are faced with the difficulties of placing an elderly relative in care.
Neil's efforts in this area were brought sharply into focus this year when he saw his mum admitted to a care home and he experienced at first hand the emotional struggle his dad had with being apart from his partner of 58 years while at the same time trying to deal with the financial and practical issues associated with a move into care.
Neil has put together his learning and experiences in the area of elderly care and he launches a new venture in May called Care, Protect and Prosper.
Neil say's that most people have no experience of the care system and are left confused and frustrated by a lack of practical help and guidance. He adds that 'thousands of people are each year are abandoned by the care system and are left to make the same costly mistakes as those who have gone before them'. Most families would not want to see all of their estate spent on care fees if this could be avoided'.
Neil will share with us his thoughts about the care system as well as some facts and insights that will be enlightening.
Neil has been on the board of major UK Plcs and he is an experienced presenter having addressed audiences all over the world.
